WhatsApp Business API features and availability

A complete feature and availability catalogue for TryDataverse Messaging, covering WhatsApp Business API, WABA connections, Meta Cloud API message templates, opt-in campaigns, shared inbox, API keys and AI agent authorization. Feature stages are shown explicitly to avoid implying public sending is live.

Current status: This is public product documentation. Meta-powered customer sending, public WABA onboarding and paid messaging are not yet activated. Provider-dependent examples describe the private implementation or planned integration.
FEATURE AVAILABILITY BY WORKFLOW

WhatsApp Business API features and their actual release stage

Each feature requires separate verification before a public business may rely on it. A working preview, provider-mocked integration test or accepted API request does not mean end-to-end WhatsApp delivery is available.

Official WhatsApp Business Platform workflows

WABA onboarding, phone number identity, Meta Cloud API integration, authorized business use, template synchronization and tracking are the foundation. The private platform contains provider-aware paths but it does not claim public Meta certification, advanced app access or a ready-to-send verified customer number.

WhatsApp templates, notifications and message categories

Prepare marketing, utility and other appropriate approved template messages with correct language and audience. Draft submissions and statuses are distinct from Meta final approval. Confirm recipient opt-in and template eligibility for each campaign.

Bulk WhatsApp marketing campaign safeguards

Audience snapshots, opt-out enforcement, scheduled broadcasts, rate-aware dispatch, idempotency, ambiguous delivery holds and credit reservation are implemented for protected staging. Real marketing sends remain disabled pending official authorization and current API routing.

Shared WhatsApp team inbox and CRM context

Inbound threads, customer identity, delivery statuses, opt-outs and role-controlled workspace access exist in staging. Advanced assignment, real conversation routing, public sender health and automated agent replies require further production validation.

Business messaging REST API and automation

Tenant-scoped developer keys and API docs, contact CRUD, template status, message lifecycle, usage, inbox and draft campaign routes support application integration in private staging. The API is not an external production service yet.

Mia and Leo agent permissions

Customers may approve an agent once for a defined set of ongoing actions, with daily limits, short-lived tokens and immediate revocation. Unbounded spending permissions are not offered; real credit debits and actual cross-platform chatbox connection require verified public backend integrations.

International business readiness

Unicode contacts, interface locale choices, tenant separation and multilingual template awareness are designed for global users. A partial locale selector must not be confused with certified full translations for every language or country.

Common feature questions

What WhatsApp API capabilities are live now?

The public website, guides, developer specification and availability explanations are live. Real WABA onboarding, public API credentials, business messaging and paid checkout are not.

Are all WhatsApp Business API features already production-ready?

No. Provider-aware template, inbox, sender, billing and agent features exist at different levels of private implementation. The status matrix below distinguishes those levels.

Can an existing WABA be connected after launch?

The intended connection requires the business to authorize its own account through Meta-approved onboarding, then verify the phone, app permissions, approved templates and signed callbacks.

Does the platform include unlimited bulk WhatsApp sender credits?

No. Messaging has opt-in, provider and rate constraints. Public commercial rates are not offered, and no one should assume bulk marketing is free.
